Terms of Service

Last Updated: 27 October 2026

Welcome to Zaribari. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of www.zaribari.com (the "Website"), the purchase of products and interactions with services offered by Zaribari.

The Website is owned and operated by Zaribari ("Zaribari", "Company", "we", "us" or "our"), having its registered office at 46, Digvijay Path, Vasishta Marg, Vaishali Nagar, Jaipur, Rajasthan 302021, India.

By accessing the Website or submitting an order, you acknowledge the applicable Terms, policies and information presented during the transaction. Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude, limit or waive any mandatory right available to consumers under applicable Indian law.

1. Eligibility and Legal Capacity

Purchases through this Website are intended for individuals who are at least 18 years old and legally competent to enter into a binding contract under applicable Indian law, including the Indian Contract Act, 1872.

By placing an order, you represent that you possess the legal capacity to undertake the transaction and that the information provided by you is accurate and complete.

Where an individual does not have the legal capacity to contract independently, any purchase must be made by a legally authorised adult in accordance with applicable law.

2. Acceptable Use of the Website

Customers and visitors agree to use the Website lawfully and responsibly.

You must not:

  • Use the Website for fraudulent, unlawful or misleading transactions.
  • Provide false payment, identity or delivery information.
  • Interfere with the security, availability or functionality of the Website.
  • Attempt unauthorised access to accounts, systems or customer information.
  • Copy, reproduce, distribute or commercially exploit protected Website content without authorisation.
  • Upload malicious code or engage in conduct that compromises the ecommerce infrastructure.

We may take reasonable action to prevent misuse of our Website, subject to applicable law and legitimate consumer rights.

3. Nature of Zaribari Products

Zaribari specialises in handcrafted clothing, traditional textiles, designer creations and occasion wear. Our collections may feature Bandhej, hand embroidery, Zardozi, Aari work, Dabka, Marodi and other artisanal techniques.

Products may be made by hand, made to order, customised or prepared according to specific design and measurement instructions.

Due to the artisanal nature of production, minor variations in embroidery placement, traditional dyeing patterns, texture, embellishment and finishing may occur between individually handcrafted pieces.

Reasonable variations that are inherent to the disclosed handmade nature of a product should be distinguished from genuine manufacturing defects or material differences from the product description.

However, the handmade nature of a product does not exclude the customer's legal rights where an item is defective, incorrectly supplied, materially misrepresented or otherwise covered by mandatory consumer-protection provisions.

4. Product Information and Representation

We make reasonable efforts to provide accurate descriptions, product images, available specifications, sizing information, prices and other relevant disclosures.

Colours may appear slightly different depending on device display settings, lighting conditions, fabric characteristics and traditional dyeing techniques.

Such visual differences do not automatically constitute a defect; however, a material mismatch between the supplied product and its advertised description will be reviewed under applicable consumer law.

Customers should carefully review product dimensions, measurements, material descriptions, customisation requirements and other relevant information before placing an order.

Where clarification is needed, customers are encouraged to contact our support team before purchase.

5. Product Availability

All products are offered subject to availability of materials, stock, artisan capacity and other fulfilment requirements.

We reserve the right to discontinue products, correct genuine errors and update product availability or prices prospectively.

If an order cannot be fulfilled because of unavailability or another legitimate operational reason, we will inform the customer and provide an appropriate refund for any amount received for the unfulfilled order.

We will not substitute materially different products without appropriate customer approval.

6. Orders and Acceptance

Placing an order constitutes a request to purchase the selected products under the terms and information presented at checkout.

An automated acknowledgement of order submission or payment receipt does not necessarily mean that production or dispatch has commenced.

Order acceptance is communicated through express confirmation or dispatch, consistent with the order process and applicable law.

We may reject or cancel an order for genuine reasons such as payment failure, product unavailability, material pricing errors, suspected fraud or an inability to fulfil the transaction.

Where Zaribari cancels a paid order before fulfilment, the customer will receive a full refund of the amount paid for the cancelled order, subject to applicable law. We will not impose unilateral cancellation penalties inconsistent with the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020.

If clarification or changes to order specifications are required, our team may contact the customer before commencing production.

7. Pricing and Taxes

Prices displayed on the Website are ordinarily shown in Indian Rupees (INR), subject to any supported currency display or conversion options.

Applicable taxes, delivery charges, mandatory fees and the final payable amount will be disclosed at or before checkout as required by law.

Any promotional discounts, coupon codes or free-shipping offers are subject to the conditions clearly disclosed with the relevant offer.

Prices may change for future orders without advance notice. Accepted orders will not ordinarily be repriced unilaterally except in circumstances permitted by law and with an appropriate resolution.

8. Payment Terms

Zaribari operates on a prepaid payment model. Customers are required to complete payment through an available supported digital payment method before an order can proceed to fulfilment.

Available payment methods may include UPI, debit cards, credit cards, net banking, digital wallets or other methods offered through the Website checkout.

Cash on Delivery (COD) is not available.

Payment services are provided through authorised third-party payment processors. Successful payment is subject to transaction approval and verification by the relevant payment provider.

Customers must not make payments outside authorised Zaribari payment channels unless separately verified through official support.

In case of an unsuccessful payment, duplicate transaction or technical payment issue, customers should contact support with the relevant transaction reference.

9. Customisation and Customer Measurements

Customers ordering customised or made-to-measure products must provide accurate and complete measurements, design specifications and any other requested instructions.

Once the information has been confirmed and production or procurement has begun, changes may not be feasible because materials, labour and artisan resources may already have been committed.

Fit issues directly resulting from incorrect customer-supplied measurements or a change in personal preference are generally not eligible for discretionary return or exchange.

However, where the garment has not been made according to the measurements or specifications accepted by Zaribari, or where a genuine defect or statutory non-conformity exists, appropriate legal remedies remain available.

10. Shipping and Delivery

Zaribari arranges delivery to serviceable destinations through selected shipping and logistics providers.

Preparation and dispatch periods may vary depending on product availability, design complexity, customisation and handmade production requirements.

Delivery estimates communicated through the Website or customer support are subject to reasonable operational and logistics conditions.

Any additional shipping charges will be disclosed before completion of checkout, where applicable.

Customers are responsible for providing accurate delivery details and cooperating with reasonable delivery requirements.

Further information is available in our separately published Shipping Policy, which forms part of the relevant purchase conditions.

11. Order Cancellation Policy

Due to the bespoke, handcrafted and resource-intensive nature of many Zaribari products, customers are requested to submit cancellation requests within 24 hours of placing an order.

Cancellation requests under our standard discretionary policy are eligible for consideration only where production or procurement has not yet commenced.

Once production, sourcing or customisation has started, cancellation may not be available for a change of mind or other non-statutory reason.

To request cancellation, email infozaribari@gmail.com with your order number, registered contact details and reason for cancellation.

We will review the production status and communicate whether the request can be approved.

These discretionary cancellation conditions do not restrict remedies or cancellation rights that cannot legally be excluded, including those arising from non-fulfilment, defective goods, material misrepresentation or other applicable statutory grounds.

Any cancellation charge, where lawfully applicable and clearly disclosed, must comply with applicable consumer-protection requirements, including the rules governing cancellation charges imposed by ecommerce entities.

12. Return and Exchange Policy

Given the handcrafted, designer-specific and frequently customised nature of Zaribari products, we generally do not offer discretionary returns or exchanges for the following reasons:

  • Change of mind after purchase.
  • Personal preference regarding colour, design or styling, where the product materially matches the description.
  • Incorrect measurements supplied by the customer.
  • Subjective fit preferences unrelated to a manufacturing defect or failure to follow agreed specifications.
  • Minor disclosed variations inherent in genuine handmade craftsmanship.

This policy does not mean that defective, incorrect, deficient, spurious, materially misrepresented or otherwise legally non-conforming products are excluded from return or other applicable remedies.

Statutory consumer protections will prevail over any inconsistent general no-return or no-exchange condition.

13. Defective, Damaged or Incorrect Products

Customers have rights under applicable consumer-protection laws when goods are defective, deficient, spurious, not of the characteristics or features advertised, or otherwise covered by applicable statutory provisions.

If you receive an incorrect, damaged or apparently defective item, please contact our team promptly with your order details and an explanation of the concern.

For faster resolution, we encourage reporting visible damage or discrepancies preferably within 24 hours of delivery.

Useful supporting information may include:

  • Order number and registered customer details.
  • Photographs of the received product and packaging.
  • Clear images or videos illustrating the reported concern.
  • Details of the product description, size or specifications that do not match.

The suggested 24-hour reporting period is intended to facilitate prompt investigation; it does not extinguish mandatory statutory rights after that period.

We may reasonably request additional evidence or inspect the product to assess the complaint. Any assessment will be conducted fairly and in accordance with applicable law.

14. Remedies for Verified Product Issues

Where a defect, deficiency, incorrect supply or material non-conformity is established, Zaribari will provide an appropriate remedy in accordance with applicable law and the nature of the issue.

Depending on the circumstances, such remedies may include:

  • Repair or reasonable alteration of the affected product.
  • Replacement with the same or a mutually agreed equivalent product.
  • Refund of the applicable amount.
  • Another remedy required by an applicable consumer authority or law.

Remedies will not be restricted solely to repair or replacement where the customer is legally entitled to a refund or other relief.

Where a return is required for a verified seller-attributable defect or error, the reasonable return arrangements and associated charges will be handled consistently with applicable consumer law.

15. Refund Policy

Approved refunds will ordinarily be initiated through the original payment method, subject to the capabilities of the payment provider and applicable legal requirements.

For approved standard cancellation requests, we aim to process the refund within 7–10 business days after approval.

The time required for the refunded amount to appear in the customer's account may additionally depend on the relevant bank or payment provider.

Where a refund is legally due, we will process it within the period required by applicable law, RBI requirements and other competent authorities. The internal processing target will not be used to delay a legally mandated refund.

Any lawful adjustment applicable to a discretionary cancellation must be specifically justified, transparently disclosed and consistent with the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 and other applicable law. No arbitrary cancellation penalty will be imposed.

For cancellations initiated by Zaribari where an order cannot be fulfilled, the amount paid for the cancelled order will be refunded in full.

16. International Orders

International purchases may be accepted for destinations supported by the Website or confirmed by our team.

International customers may be responsible for applicable import duties, customs charges, destination-country taxes and other disclosed import-related expenses, unless expressly agreed otherwise.

Orders shipped internationally are generally final sale for change-of-mind returns and non-defect-related preferences due to logistics complexity and the customised nature of the products.

However, customers retain any mandatory legal remedies applicable to defective, incorrect or materially misrepresented goods.

Zaribari will provide reasonable assistance concerning genuine product issues and available shipment documentation.

17. Promotional Offers and Discounts

Zaribari may periodically introduce promotional offers, discount codes, first-order benefits, seasonal campaigns or complimentary shipping arrangements.

Each offer may be subject to clearly communicated eligibility criteria, dates, product exclusions, minimum purchase requirements or other reasonable conditions.

Offers cannot ordinarily be combined unless expressly permitted. Customers should verify the final price and any applicable discount before confirming payment.

Promotions will be administered in accordance with applicable laws governing transparent pricing and fair ecommerce practices.

18. Intellectual Property

The Website and its content, including product photography, original designs, descriptions, graphics, text, logos, trademarks, layouts and other protected material, are owned by Zaribari or used under appropriate authorisation.

Such material may be protected by applicable intellectual-property laws, including copyright, trademark and design laws.

Unauthorised reproduction, distribution, modification or commercial exploitation of protected content is prohibited unless permission has been granted or an applicable legal exception applies.

Customers may use Website content for legitimate personal shopping and informational purposes without acquiring ownership of the underlying intellectual property.

19. Customer Accounts and Communications

Where customer-account features are available, users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials and notifying us of suspected unauthorised activity.

Customers agree to provide accurate contact details so that we can communicate necessary order confirmations, delivery information, payment notifications and service updates.

Promotional communications will be managed in accordance with our Privacy Policy, applicable consent requirements and available unsubscribe preferences.

20. Third-Party Services

The Website uses third-party ecommerce infrastructure, payment processing, communications and logistics services.

These services may have independent terms and privacy practices relevant to their respective operations.

While Zaribari does not control every third-party system, the use of external service providers does not automatically remove our obligations towards customers under applicable law.

21. Website Availability and Technical Errors

We endeavour to maintain an accessible and functional Website, but temporary interruptions may occur due to maintenance, security requirements, third-party outages or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

We may correct genuine technical, typographical or administrative errors, including product-listing inaccuracies, subject to applicable consumer rights and our existing obligations.

Where an error materially affects an existing order, customers will be informed and offered an appropriate lawful resolution.

22. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Zaribari will not be responsible for losses arising solely from unlawful misuse of the Website by a user, or for indirect commercial losses that are not legally recoverable in the relevant circumstances.

Any contractual limitation of liability applies only to the extent permitted under Indian law.

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or limits liability for defective products, deficient services, unfair trade practices, personal injury, product liability or other matters where exclusion is prohibited by the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or other applicable legislation.

No provision shall be interpreted as restricting a consumer's right to seek lawful compensation or relief before a competent authority.

23. Events Beyond Reasonable Control

Production, dispatch or delivery may be affected by events such as natural disasters, transportation restrictions, government action, public emergencies, strikes, severe weather or other circumstances beyond reasonable control.

Where such an event materially affects an order, we will make reasonable efforts to inform the customer, minimise disruption and provide an appropriate remedy or alternative arrangement.

This provision does not override mandatory consumer-protection obligations or rights relating to non-fulfilment.

24. Privacy and Personal Information

Our collection, use, storage, sharing and protection of personal information are governed by our separately published Privacy Policy and applicable Indian data protection requirements.

By providing information through the Website, customers acknowledge the relevant privacy notices and may exercise applicable privacy rights as described in the Privacy Policy.

Where consent is required for a particular processing activity, such consent will be sought in accordance with applicable law.

25. Consumer Grievance Redressal

Zaribari is committed to fair and timely consideration of consumer concerns.

Customers may submit complaints regarding orders, payment issues, shipping delays, defective products, refunds or other service-related matters through our official support channels.

In accordance with the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, consumer grievances will be acknowledged within 48 hours of receipt and redressed within one month.

We may provide a complaint or ticket reference number to facilitate tracking and communication. Where further investigation is necessary, our team will communicate relevant updates and the applicable resolution process.

Nothing in these Terms prevents an eligible consumer from approaching the National Consumer Helpline, an appropriate Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission or another competent authority in accordance with applicable law.

Customers may access the National Consumer Helpline through consumerhelpline.gov.in.

Contractual policies relating to cancellations, returns, delivery or liability will be interpreted consistently with mandatory statutory protections.

27. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India.

Subject to applicable statutory jurisdiction rules, non-consumer contractual disputes may be brought before competent courts in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India.

Nothing in this clause restricts the legal rights of consumers to approach a competent consumer commission or authority having jurisdiction under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or other applicable laws.

28. Modifications to These Terms

Zaribari may amend these Terms periodically to reflect changes in its operations, Website functionality, commercial arrangements or applicable legal requirements.

Updated Terms will be published with a revised effective date. Material changes will be communicated where required by law.

Changes will not retrospectively remove mandatory statutory rights or alter accepted order obligations in a manner prohibited by applicable law.

29. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable by a competent authority, the remaining provisions shall continue to operate to the extent legally permissible.

The affected provision will be interpreted or limited only to the extent necessary to comply with applicable law, without undermining mandatory consumer rights.

30. Relationship With Other Policies

These Terms should be read together with the Privacy Policy, Shipping Policy and any separately published Return, Refund & Cancellation Policy.

Product-specific conditions, customisation details and disclosures presented at checkout may also apply to individual transactions.

In the event of inconsistency, mandatory applicable laws shall prevail. Where two published business policies conflict, the interpretation that complies with applicable law and the relevant agreed transaction terms shall be followed.
